Latest Happenings.

So I am sitting in the most boring class on the planet, and the only thing that I can do is write on our blog.  Life has been so busy.  We're approaching the end of the semester, and we have projects galore.  So as you can imagine our life is incredibly busy and we don't really have time to do much of anything.  I have a presentation that starts in about twenty minutes, and that means I only have a few more things left this semester.

Thanksgiving was so fun!  I made my first ever turkey and we had a couple of friends over.  It was so much fun to not have to travel or worry about visiting everyone.  However, I did miss spending time with my family.  Christmas will be the same, but so fun!

Our kitties are growing up so fast and Agge is getting big and fat.  Nero is growing slowly but surely.  He had another accident with his mouth and his chin is destined to be lower and show off his gum line a little more than other cats, and if cats had braces, he would need them.  He's an ugly little critter, but so cute.  One other weird thing he is doing is pacing around our heads at night or early in the morning until we wake up or throw him off of the bed.

Maybe once classes are over I will be inclined to write more, but as for now, not really.  Happy Blogging.

Can't believe it's been ten years!

Well, it has! Ten years ago, my step dad, the man who raised me had a heart attack and died. That night changed the rest of my life. As I try to remember all of the wonderful times we had together, my heart swells with joy that I was able to have him in my life. He was my strength when times got tough. He was always a shoulder to cry on and just a great man! How many men would take in someonelse's children and raise them as his own....not many, but he did! There have been many times when I wish he could be there like when I married the man of my dreams, how I wish I could have introduced him to Aaron, because I know they would have loved each other so much! It breaks my heart that our children will never know Grandpa Sal in this life, but because of our Savior we will see him again. I will get to proudly introduce my eternal love to my dad and say I knew you would meet each other one day! How grateful I am for eternal families and the blessings of the temple that we can all be together forever.

I love you Daddy Sal!

Thus far!

Can you believe it? I am posting with less than 4 months in between posts. Oh the joys of no homework! So these last two weeks have been really fun. My little sister came into town for a visit and boy were we busy. She flew in on Saturday evening just in time for us to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. That was really fun. It is quite a beautiful temple. Sunday Aaron and I went to church, and then we headed out to Adam's Canyon for a hike with my sister which was really fun. She got to see the waterfall that has been present in so many of the photos I have taken.
After that....I had to go to work and class all day on Monday, including writing a 7 page paper at 3 am so it would be finished in time for me to give my presentation at 9. So needless to say that after work, I was ready to just relax and watch movies at home. Tuesday was a different story...we went to the reservoir in the morning and had a great time. Aaron and I rafted out to an island in the reservoir and spent some time with my sister. It was great.
Wednesday we relaxed and then went to our friends' (Tyler and Michelle) wedding. It was really great to be there for that. They are such a great example to us. We were also able to see a good old friend of mine, Bryce. We all had a fun time catching up and after that we drove our way down to Emery for the night, where we slept and then made our way to Blanding, UT. On Thursday Aaron took his CNA exam, which he passed and is now looking for a job. :) After the exam, we stopped in Moab for lunch and then mozied our way into Arches National Park. there are tons of pictures from the park, so if you want to see them, CLICK HERE
We then made our way back up and spent Friday sleeping in and then dropped my sister off at the airport. We then made our way over to a friend's house to pick up a cake she made us for our anniversary since our other cake got eaten and i accidently smooshed the one aaron's mom remade for us. It was gorgeous and DELICIOUS. On 8-8-09 we headed up to Logan to celebrate our first anniversary!

We got to Logan ready to do sealings and go to the Logan temple, but as luck would have it we forgot them at home. So we just had dinner and then headed over to the Anniversary Inn. It was great. We had the whole evening to ourselves wihtout any interuptions and it was wonderful.
Well since then life has just contined as normal, as we prepare for school to start and for us to be busy all over again. Where has the summer gone?!

Aggelium

As promised here is a picture of our new addition.....His name is Aggelium. Isn't he cute?

This one's for you Cami!

So, I promised Cami, my sister in law that I would update this thing about 6 weeks ago (or more) but turns out I've just been spacey...and very busy. So here's a quick little update about what is going on in our life.

School:
So I am just finishing up summer semester in which I have completed 12 credits in 12 short weeks. May not seem like a lot, but let me tell you being stuck in classrooms for 3 hours at a time during the summer isn't very fun at all. Anyway, I'm really excited for this upcoming school year. It will be my very last year at the University of Utah before I FINALLY graduate....yes you read it right...after many long years, and a few setbacks, I will graduate from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Spanish Teaching. It's so exciting. So for you BYU fans you must know that I like the U better, and for all you Colorado State fans, you know I will always be a RAM at heart :) So as far as Aaron's schooling goes, he's just finished up a CNA course and will be taking his state exam next week. We are really excited for that so he can apply for some jobs here soon which brings me to

Work:
Aaron lost his job in July, and we have taken advantage of that. It has given him the chance to get his foot in the nursing door. He has taken a Certified Nursing Assistant course in order to prepare him for when he finally gets into nursing school...which will probably be in a few years.
As far as work and I am concerned, I am still doing the same old thing, nothing too exciting, but we have gotten a lot busier, which is fun and stressful at the same time. I have also become full-time, which means insurance and PTO. This has been great because I have been able to take some time off and actually get paid for not being here! I mean whoever thought of that was a genius! Also, I will be going to Baltimore, MD in a few weeks for a work trip, which should be really fun. What is better than flying out to the east coast, getting your own five star hotel room for free! Well it would be a lot better if Aaron could come, but we just can't afford it right now, so I will try to enjoy it enough for the both of us!

Family:
We are still working on adding to the little Call Clan, but we feel that when Heavenly Father decides that the time is right, he will send us our little angel that we have been praying for. We have however decided to add a few pets to the clan. We have about 9 frogs in our aquarium, and we bought a cat. Funny story. We went to PetSmart to get some stuff for the aquarium, and they had these kittens that a family brought in because they hadn't fixed their cat and they could not take care of the extra kittens. We fell in love and brought home an orange tabbie. We named him Aggelium. Before you ask how to pronounce his name its.....a.gel.y.oom. it's Latin or Greek, and my husband would have to explain what it means exactly. Anyway....8 days from now, we will have been married for exactly one year. Crazy huh! This year has been great. We have had our ups and downs, but have learned a lot from each other. We are really excited to continue on this wonderful journey we have embarked on. Marriage is incredible!

Summer outings and such:
So because I have been so busy with work and school we haven't had a lot of trips this summer, but I did get to go to Colorado for my best friend's graduation from nursing school. That was really fun to see her family and well they are practically my family too...it was also great to see my little sister for a few days. Thankfully we were able to help her come out here this week and are really looking forward to exploring Utah with her. We are going to go to the Great Salt Lake, do some hiking, and then head down to Moab for a day trip. It should all be really exciting before school starts.

So Cami, this is for you and everyone else who has been waiting for me to post something. I promise I will try to put up some pictures later this week or the next. I do have a 7 page Spanish paper to write and a presentation to prepare before Monday morning so I may be a bit busy til then, but I will try. Until Next time......Adios....Farewell....and Chau!

Finally an Update!

So, if you haven't noticed, I have been extremely busy; hence the reason for not posting hardly anything this semester. Well it's finally spring break, and I have a little bit of time to think. Today Aaron and I went on a long motorcycle ride. It was 60 degrees today! We drove down to where they are finishing up the new Okre Mountain Temple and it is gorgeous. I will try to put more pictures up later. It was really fun and we are enjoying a quiet night at home camping on our livingroom floor for no reason at all...well actually the tv we had in our bedroom went out and we are watching a movie in our living room.

So what have we been up to lately? We are working hard in school and work. I have just started working a whole lot more, and with the 18 credit ours I am taking, it has gotten pretty hectic. Our home has been put on the back burner and so we have some serious spring cleaning this week.

Good News!!!! I got accepted into the Spanish Teaching Program which means that I will be graduating next spring!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Aaron is still trying to decide what he wants to major in. We are really excited for me to finish school. We will be here in the University Village at least another year while I finish school.

Anyway....other than that we are just enjoying each other's company and relaxing this week. We are also working on having a baby...but thus far we have had not had much luck. We will keep trying :) Anyway...despite the business and chaos that has been taking over our lives, we are still madly in love and try to find time for the most important things in our lives.....our God and our Love.
